Midterm Reflection

みなさん、

This is another post-midterm reflection. In terms of my speaking skills, I want to first improve my pronunciation, especially the /k/, /t/, /d/ sounds since they are not clear. Second, I want to practice the へ-shaped intonation more. Therefore, for the rest of my PE exercises, I should try reading out loud poems or doing more shadowing models.

I also want to go to the 'advanced' Japanese language tables at least twice every week in addition to my previous goals!

That's it. Hopefully I can accomplish my goals!

春休み

みなさん、

プリンストンの天気は　さいきん　いいですが、みなさんは　ぜんぶ　元気ですか。

 私の春休みは　二週間前　はじまりました。ろんぶんが　あったから、毎日　ラボで　しごとを　したり　ろんぶんを　かいたり　しました。ええ、たへんでしたよ。でも、木曜日に　親友が　二人　私のりょうへ　行ったから、たのしに　なりました。ボド　ゲムを　したり　おいしい　食べものを　作ったり　ジャージーの　ケータウンに　行ったりしました。私は　ジャージーの　ケータウンに　行ったことが　なかったので、うれしかったですよ。そして　にくとビンスを　食べました。　とてもとても　おいしかったですけど、にくは　ちょっと　高かったですよ。でも、ケータウンから　プリンストンまで　くるまで　１時間ぐらい　かかるので、だいじょうぶでした。

日曜日に　親友は　がっこに　帰ったから、ちょっと　かなしかったですけど、私の　プリンストンの　友だちが　プリンストンに　帰りました。春休みは　みじかかった　と思います。。。

New Semester Resolutions!

みなさん、

こんにちは！

Last semester, to improve my Japanese, I made some resolutions on this blog and I think I was able to accomplish some of them! I went to Japanese Language Table and sensei's office hours often to practice my speaking skills. I did watch some anime and listen to Japanese music, but sadly not as often as I had expected. Therefore, my resolutions for this semester are:

1/ 毎週　日本語の　テーブルに　行きたいます！
2/ 毎週　日本語の　先生の　office hours に　行きたいます (if the times do no conflict with my classes)。
3/ 毎日　１０分ぐらい　アニメを　みたいます。
4/ 毎日　日本語で　うたうを　２つ　聞きたいます。

I am determined to really improve my Japanese, and hopefully I can accomplish all the goals I've listed!

おいしい レストラン

私は　ベトナムから　きて　うちに　おいしい　食べものが　たくさん　ありますよ。でも、プリンストンに　ベトナムの　レストランが　ないので　かなしいです :(.

でも、大丈夫です！いい　レストランが　あるんです。私の　一番好きなのは　Despanaですよ。私の　ラボの　ちかくに　あるので　よく　行きます。

あそこに　スペイン　りょうりがあります。週末は　いつも　にぎやかです。プリンストンの　人は　大好きです。　私は　よく　あそこで　paellaを　ちゅうもんします。

ちょっと　高いですが、とてもおいしいですよ。Paellaは　スペインの　ライスや　チキンや　トマトや　さかなが　あります。　すこし　あまくて、すこし　しょっぱくて、すこしすっぱくので　おもしろいです。

PE Reflection, and thank you everyone!

みなさん、

Wow so it's almost the end of my first Japanese semester! It's been a fun ride, and I tried a lot of different activities to improve my pronunciation. What I have accomplished:

1/ Went to Japanese table at least once every two weeks! Yay!
2/ Went to sensei's OH to practice speaking at least once every two weeks!
3/ Watched anime at least once a week (not as much as I had hoped since it's been a crazy semester...)

I was not able to practice Japanese at all over winter break since I barely had access to the Internet, but but but I will make up for all I missed once I'm done with finals!

And I would like to thank those who have read and/or commented on my blog. I'm sorry if I have not responded to your comments yet, but I promise it's because of schoolwork, and I will definitely respond by the end of this month! Thank you again for being so patient with me. ありがとうございました。
